Can an employer include Bank Holidays as part of holiday allowance?

Yes, they can be counted as part of the statutory 20 days’ holiday.
I have been asked to start work an hour earlier. Do I have to?
Generally, no you don't, as you agreed to your working hours in your contract. However, if your contract or staff handbook says that your hours of work may be changed, then you will have to start an hour earlier.
Who is entitled to take parental leave?
Subject to certain conditions, both parents can take up to a total of 13 weeks off, unpaid, to look after a child.
